Our Purpose

At Tristan's Trees, we honor the memory of our beloved son, Tristan, who was stillborn at 35 weeks. His absence leaves a void that we feel deeply every day. In the wake of our loss, we were gifted a tree to plant in his memory, creating a sacred space in our yard that brought us comfort, connection and healing. We aim to provide the same comfort and support to families who know this kind of loss.

Our Mission

Tristan’s Trees is dedicated to honoring the lives of stillborn babies and children who have passed away by providing families with the gift of a living tree as a symbol of love, remembrance, and enduring legacy. These trees can be planted in a place of their choosing — a yard, garden, or other meaningful space — where it will grow and flourish just as their child’s memory continues to live on.

Our Story

At 35.5 weeks pregnant, we were just weeks away from meeting our son, Tristan. Everything had been going well—until I woke up at 4am in a panic with the fear that something was wrong. Hours later, the words “I’m so sorry” from our doctor shattered our world.

Tristan was born sleeping on May 31, 2023—a perfectly healthy baby boy, with no explanation for his passing. Just…gone. The shock, the silence, the darkness—it’s a pain no parent should endure. Our lives were forever changed.

I often imagine what life would be like with him—his laugh, his smile. Would he have blue eyes like his sister’s?  Instead, we’re left with dreams of who he might have been and a love that continues in his absence.

Tristan’s Trees was born from that love—a way to honor him and bring beauty, healing, and remembrance to other families navigating the unimaginable. Through every tree we plant, his memory lives on, as do the memories of all children gone too soon.
